Fences

Gosto mais do título em inglês porque remete tanto a cerca de casa quanto a limites que podem ser transpostos ou  merecem ser respeitados.

O filme é uma adaptação de uma peça teatral, o que explica os diálogos longos, a câmera parada sem edição nervosa e a interpretação impecável de todos os atores.

A Viola Davis é um caso à parte (incrível saber que foi premiada no teatro e no cinema pelo mesmo papel, uma vez que as técnicas são completamente diferentes)...

Um homem negro e analfabeto tem os sonhos cancelados de ser jogador de beisebol por causa do racismo nos anos 50. Seu filho caçula é muito talentoso e recebe convite de uma universidade para estudar e jogar beisebol, porém seu pai é contra. A mãe, agregadora, tenta conciliar todos que gravitam ao redor: o filho do outro casamento, a vizinhança amiga, o marido... até que (bem, não vou contar) rsrsrs!

O que achei legal é que apesar de ser uma crítica social também tem um quê de humanidade (atire a 1a. pedra quem nunca esteve numa situação semelhante à do pai, da mãe, do filho, do amigo)...

E para quem gosta de atuação magistral, é prato cheio ; ).

Moonlight

Correndo para não ser tragada pela manada que vai ao cinema após o Oscar, lá vou eu conferir o último filme com chances de ganhar alguma coisa antes da cerimônia.

Peloamor!

É uma história como outras tantas aqui no Brasil, de gente sofrida, vinda de lar disfuncional e que vai sendo esmagada a cada fase da vida.

Coisas legais: a interpretação primorosa do casting, a construção dos personagens (ninguém é tão bom ou mau; cada um carrega dentro de si porções de anjo e demônio juntas e misturadas) e direção de arte (tem uma cena linda, icônica, em que o traficante leva o menino para nadar no mar) - para se inundar de ternura.

Bom, se quer mesmo a minha opinião, dá para esperar sair na Netflix.

Aliados

Propaganda enganosa, viu!

Após assistir o trailer (mó matador) me senti uma otária saindo do cinema.

Filme bobo, inverossímil, que trata o espectador como deficiente mental.

Um casal de espiões se apaixona numa missão durante a II Guerra Mundial.

Mesmo com a talentosa Marion Cottilard, é dificílimo de engolir.

Se você se contenta em apreciar apenas belos figurinos sem o esqueleto de uma boa história, vai lá ; (((.

Manchester à beira-mar

Quer ver um filme denso, visceral, profundo a ponto de se afogar?

É Manchester : 0!

E o personagem principal é tão sofrido, tão humano e ao mesmo tempo tão íntegro que chega a doer (sabe quando existe uma vontade genuína de fazer o que precisa ser feito, de ser responsável, de cuidar dos outros e ao mesmo não conseguir dar conta do turbilhão que existe e vira redemoinho dentro de si?)!

A cada dia me dou conta de que a capacidade de sentir dor é a mesma que abre a possibilidade de se alegrar (então o desafio é para ter coragem de viver e ser o que se é).
